Another water leak in the High Street, digger,traffic chaos and more

It's surprising what you discover in the High Street on a Sunday morning......traffic jams and delays, litter, squatters taking over "historic building" premises, victorian terrace at Brentford Bridge being demolished and graffiti in the wrong places.Filthy unpolished doors at the Magistrates Court...and so it goes on!  Ugh!

I don't have any knowledge of the people who have moved in to the building, but it doesn't necessarily follow that they have horns and tails. I did live next door to squatters for a while in the past and they were fine (better in fact than some subsequent legitimate tenant). Let's face it, the present squatters would have to behave extremely badly to have a detrimental effect, given the look of the place. It could even be good to have the premises occupied. Just a thought.

It would seem that this picture was taken just in time last year!The bulldozers have arrived and are beginning to demolish part of that row of victorian terraces!!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooA view from the Canal this morning which came as a shock!!oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooThe landlord at O'Reilly's kindly comforted me..by explaining that the rebuilding will be done..in the same style...and a restaurant will be included!  So stop flapping Lawsey!!

Let me do that last report again!!If SQUATTING down the road wasn't bad enough, I turned to look at the Magistrate's Court..and heck I thought..they now allow a Car Boot sale there on Sunday mornings!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooIt was a relief to find out that a filming crew had moved in..and their lorries were all around.Nonetheless, it gave me an opportunity to check on the cleanliness around the front door.!!As noticed before, the door maintenance is awful and very disapointing. Has the door ever been properly cleaned and polished...and as for Brasso on the door furniture...well it's Brentford innit mate!

With traffic queues clogging up Brentford High Street this morning....particularly on the eastern end stretching back to Half Acre and beyond....one wondered what could be going on in Middlesex's old County town!!oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"Yes it's another water leak underground..no water on the road yet...but we've got to close one side of the road, erect temporary traffic lights again...start digging..and hopefully find the leaking pipe soon."Chaos on Monday can be expected..unless miracles are performed. Please don't stretch the job out boys..like the big one on London Road last year..which carried on for longer than it should have. "The chap who checks then opens the new valve doesn't work Bank Holidays mate!"
