1-7 London Road - more flats

Duncan...very interesting info!Here is that sequence of pictures again..together with some extras. Apparently there are cellars that go out underneath the Road!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooA few days later..I was able to visit the site and speak to the friendly demolision men..from Hackney.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooWatch out ..don't knock down the pub!! I saved Brentford again!!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooNow if Nigel gets his metal detector out this weekend..one couldn't think of a better local location to find a few old coins!

I've just had a look at Jim's photos of the houses being demolished in the "Another water leak in the High Street, digger,traffic chaos and more" topic http://www.brentfordtw8.com/default.asp?section=community&link=http://nnet-server.com/server/app/forum/default.asp?site=5 It looks like 4 houses of 3 storeys and 1 floor basement. The planning application talks about a building of 5/6 storeys and 15 flats above ground floor. Wow! that's certainly cramming them in. I wonder if the height of the building will be higher than the adjoining pub?
