Family Tree

Hi, wonder if anyone can help. I'm searching for any infomation on my grandfather 'Leonard Robert Chick' (or his family)lived at 54 Distillery road in the 1920's. Also have been trying to E.mail Peter Rutt, of the Brentford site, E.mails keep bouncing back. If anyone knows how to contact him please let me know.

There is more information available about the Chick family in an old issue of Kelly's Brentford Directory.The 1938 directory lists the following Brentford residents with the CHICK surname:16 Braemar Road...Frederick215 Ealing Road...George33 Green Dragon Lane....Harry Joseph54 Distillery Road...Herbert..as already mentioned35 Mafeking Avenue......Herbert George42 North Road....Mrs Chick5 Lateward Road....William.Hope that helps your enquiries.  Kelly's Directories going back to 1870 ish are available at Chiswick Library (Local Archives Section) and there are facilities at the Library to photocopy the appropriate page.

I've had the same problem with Peter's email. Called his phone and left a message, he emailed back that his address is still good. That was about three months ago. Do post if you get more info.
