Old Harry's Rocks

I've been 'surfing' the net so to speak and came across photos of 'Old Harry's Rocks'.  In two of the photos there was a resemblance to the Twelve Apostles which I took photos of. Where are these rocks? I've never heard of them before.Another photo I came across was a Wind Farm. Many residents along Adelaide's coastlines don't like them. What do you think of them. We saw some on our trip and we didn't find them noisy.Joan

These photos were taken in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.  We went on a boat cruise to 'feed' the crocs. They can jump so high out of the water to get their food. This poor one had recently had part of his front leg bitten off in a fight. Hope you enjoy the photos..............................................................

Yes today is starting off overcast, forecasters say it's going to brighten up later.  It's quite strange to think I see the next day before England. Yes it should be cold and raining, we've had rain but we need more. At the moment it's 12 noon and a nice 16ºc. What are doing up at that hour!!  We have the same sources for our smilies.  I love my smiley's.Take care and sleep tight.

Hi Vanessa.  Yes Adelaide is a very quiet place. Although we do have the Arts Festival and that's very successful. We have V8 car racing annually, My husband and son go to that. I think maybe that's why my parents chose Adelaide to move to. Glenelg has changed so much. You used to be able to drive really close to the beach, but now there are apartments there. You said it all about Alice Springs - a place in the middle of nowhere. We went there 9 years ago and loved it. My brother lived in Darwin for many years, but as I said to Hugh you've got to like the humidity. But Darwin is beautiful, so many places to visit. I loved the boat cruise feeding the crocodiles, scary but great picturs. I'll have to find one of my pictures which will show how they feed the crocs. They are the ugliest but most interesting creatures.  Venomous snakes and spiders are my fear.  Dean got bitten by a redback spider in our shed, I had to ring an ambulance, I could have lost him. We must teach our children about these harmful creatures.Oops sorry Vanessa, I got a bit carried away then.Have a good day.Joan

Nothing much does happen there!  It's certainly not as busy as Sydney or even Heathrow.  It's mainly domestic flights with the occasional overseas flight. I think it's around 10 pm the flights stop. 90% of the time they land from the left hand side of the screen.  You will see in the daytime view the hills in the background, we live somewhere at the bottom of the foothills. If you turned the webcam around to face you, so to speak, you wouldn't be too far from the beach. If you wanted a relaxed lifestyle then Adelaide's the place. If you like the hustle and bustle of a city life, then you would like Sydney, Melbourne or Perth. If you like humidity and hot dry weather or rain and I mean heavy rain, then you would love Darwin. I like the cold weather, I miss the snow and the fun of it, oh as I child I liked the snow. I hope the webcam livens up for you soon.Joan.

We though Adelaide was one of the nicest places in Oz. loved the trams. We were there for the Arts Festival and stayed in Glen Elg, very pretty. We thought Adelaide was very English, more so than most other places in Oz, and the other enchanting place was Alice Springs, a lovely place literally in the middle of nowhere.
