Missing Madeliene McCann in Portugal

What a terrible shock that must have been..and still is..for family and friends.I cannot imagine how the mother and father must have felt when discovering the child missing..and now living the nightmare of  such an uncertain outcome.As Fran suggested..a quite moment of prayer and thought is most appropriate.

A nice thought, Fran.  This is such a sorry tale but serves to highlight an issue which rears its head when a child/teenager or  adult goes missing, and after the initial flurry of activity drops out of the headlines as if it hadn't occurred.  It is heart wrenching to see the parents of Madeleine.Earlier this week I was listening to the radio and somebody recounting that the English press were blaming the Portuguese Police and the Portuguese Press were blaming the British press and British families and the way they 'behave' on holiday.  The anger borne out of the desperation to resolve this seems to add to the horror of it all and the huge sum of reward money now on offer may well increase the vulnerability of other children going on holiday this summer?
