Magpie & Crown

Just been told that the Magpie has had a wash and brush, up outside. Has the inside been spruced up as well and is Steve still in charge.

JimThnaks for the photos. Am sitting ay my computer drinking bottled London Pride and thinking of the many and I mean many pints I have drunk in the Magpie.Paul,The toilets had had a wash & brush up when we went in last year, not much of one though.

Paul, Phil..Apologies for missing some of Shirley's birthday cake and that swift pint somewhere!!  I'm unreliable with my time management sometimes as you may guess..my attention gets diverted too easily!  Gosh, I missed Nigel's presentation too!! And the Thames Water bashing!!I flicked onto the Hounslow Central Area Meeting on the webcam..and the microphones were either not being used properly..or I couldn't understand the various dialects. so I switched off..and put the kettle on and thought about Steve's ghost!It's o funny matter!!

Neil.Yes the outside looks good..and even those clapped out back gates to his Yard have been completely renovated. Brentford on the up!!I popped inside the other evening..and over a pint of Itchen Ale chatted to Steve and others.Not finished inside yet..and all the lighting is being sorted..but here is a glimpse of your TW8 local!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I cheekily asked Steve if there was a ghost in the building!To my surprise he said yes!.  What the Pub up the road like!!!?

He's also getting work done inside.  Undercoat was quite a stark change.  Havent yet seen the final result though.Andrew

Yes Neil, Steve has still got it.His builders/decorators have recently spent quite a time completely renovating all the outside of the pub,windows/woodwork etc. Looks a lot better!!
