Thames Water change Mogden Consultation Dates

Dear councillors and officers at LB Hounslow and Richmond Upon Thames. Following on from my email sent within the last few days - I need to inform you of changes Thames Water have made to the dates of the public consultations. The public events originally planned for the 24th May (Isleworth Library) and the 1st June (Whitton Library) are now cancelled. We have decided to extended the consultation period. The new dates are as follows - Whitton Library: Tuesday 29th May  -     10:00am - 6:00pm Wednesday 30th May      -     10:00am - 8:00pm Thursday 31st May -     10:00am - 6:00pm Friday 1st June         -     10:00am - 6:00pm Saturday 2nd June -     10:00am - 1:00pm Isleworth Library: Monday 4th June   -     10:00am - 8:00pm Tuesday 5th June  -     10:00am - 5:00pm Thursday 7th June -     10:00am - 8:00pm Saturday 9th June -     10:00am - 1:00pm Thames Water staff will be in attendance at all times in both venues. Attached is a new version of the letter, which will be sent out to approximately 13,000 residents in the area. The briefing material I sent you in my last email will be included in the residents letters. The letter I originally forwarded to you was not delivered to the local resident. It should be noted that Thames Water originally only intended  to slip in a few hours during the week at Isleworth Library  presumably so it could then claim to have 'consulted with the local community'After MRAG committee member, Marianne Welsh, confronted Thames Water on the fact that  Richmond borough was not being included, they reluctantly  arranged a display for Whitton.  Again, MRAG had to step in because Thames had not thought to include a Saturday for both boroughs. What is it with Thames water?  Is it simply a lack of direction / proactivity or simply a fear of engaging with the local communities whose lives are blighted continually by the operation of Mogden. When one looks at the alleged odour improvement works over the years and considers that in 2007 nothing has improved - not  really surprising  is it?  Another bank holiday weekend on the horizon so no doubt another bank holiday weekend of stench can be expected!
