This item sold for 56 pounds.seems a rather high price for a real photo, although people do collect canal scenes. A very good street scene of Brentford, I missed it, only sold for 4.99 a couple of weeks ago.

I've just missed out on a document from a tyre company in Windmill Rd Brentford dated 1915.Lost out in the last 18secs of the auction.

AnnOn "zooming in"!  Well...if you place the curser on the screen onto the picture..and then right click..a menu of Options should appear which includes one saying "Zoom In". Then there is usually a scale of magnifications available.Quite separately..when viewing a picture on the Forums..one can click on the picture and it will automatically enlarge.  This is based on the type of picture hosting service one is using.  Richard Jennings is our top expert on these things.

Thanks NeilZoom in and identify the location...might be worthwhile!One can see the steeple of St Pauls..the chimney pots of either the Magpie and Crown or the CourtHouse. What about that long Victorian warehouse?  Is it a view of Town Wharf?
