Meet your local Police Saturday morning
This new joint surgery is something Cllr Shirley Fisher has been trying to get organised for many months with the local Police and hopefully residents from the Syon Ward will come out and show their support. If it is a success then more joint surgeries in addition to the normal ones held by the three Syon Cllrs will be organised.Syon Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to invite you to their summer surgery. You can come and speak to your local Police Officers as well as a Syon Ward Councillor. The surgery will be held at the Rose Community Centre, Hawthorne Road, Brentford from 10:30 till 12:00 on Saturday 30th June 2007. They will be promoting the use of an online service called IMMOBILISE. This is where you can register your property for FREE; including mobile phones, pedal cycles and most household electrical items. So if you ever have items stolen they will be able to trace the rightful owner and return your property. The team are currently warning that Satellite navigation theft is on the increase; make sure you remove the unit and the holder. Thieves are interested in all your property from mobile phones, laptop computers, handbags and briefcases don’t leave them on show. They are also telling residents to secure all windows and doors to keep your belongings safe as the weather gets hotter. Crime prevention advice can be obtained free from your local police crime prevention officer on 0208 247 6423. They would like to hear from anyone who wants to get involved in starting up a neighbourhood watch scheme. To find out more speak to them at the summer surgery or call them on 0208 247 5989.
