WATCH YOUR BAGS

in the premier lodge last night and nearly lost my handbag, to a lone woman, who looked like she just came in to avoid the rain, the very nice bar man alerted me to what was happening and she was seconds away from nicking my handbag... however, I heard this morning a handbag was stolen in the Watermans Arms and the Albany, so if you see this woman, white about 40, hippyish dressed, brown hair, red lipstick, hang on to your hand bags, don;t let them out of your sight, I never knew this would happen in one of my locals, but it does, so be extra vigilent.

Thanks for the warning Louise. You should report this to the local Safer Neighbourhoods team. Even though a crime was averted it is useful intelligence for them.

It can happen anywhere, we should never be complacent. Expect that she's found that people are at their most relaxed in their local where they think they know everyone.
