Meet Mary Mcleod

Mary is holding a meet and greet in October for residents of Isleworth and Brentford.It gives you a chance to meet the Conservative Lady who will stand in the Next Elections to become the MP for Isleworth and Brentford.Come along and Listen to what she has to say or ask her a question.The even will be held at The Bridgelink Centre Summerwood Rd (Ivybridge Estate) on October 4th from 1030 till 1230pm.Everyone welcome!!

Simon / Sarah Cllr Barbara Reid,  Lead Member for Environment, has contacted me to advise she will definitely attend the Mogden Residents Liaison meeting with Thames Water. This is good news as she will be in a position to apprise Mary of the current situation which is clearly unacceptable to this community. Whilst Thames Water are confident the project will complete on schedule (August 2008) it is our view that, based on information to hand, completion of the project will not necessarily have improved the situation significantly. With only 10 months to go, and much of the £42 million (public money) having been spent, the Council has to prepare itself for the possibility that the schedule of works, accepted and agreed by the Council, will fail to produce the results this community has waited for for over a decade.

I had a meeting with  Mary McLeod earlier this year and a very nice  lady she is too. A great pity she is away for the next meeting as I did explain to her and Cllr. Barbara Reid the importance of their attendance at these meetings. However, Cllr Andrew Dakers will, I believe, represent the Lib Dems at the meeting. In case there is any doubt as to the impact Thames Water is having on the good people of this community (i.e. voters), here are some extracts of the very many complaints received via MRAG over the last 24 hours and forwarded to Hounslow's Environmental Services Dept for investigation and action. The Council has yet to respond!! My children have been traumatised and had to keep them in doors with the windows closed terrible stench, made me literally puke up.. it was like a rotting garbage i felt sick it always gets worse in in dry weather so I just don't open the windows. The smell tonight is nasty - I can smell it indoors, even though my windows are closed Woke me up. Unbelievably horrible I thought the dog had rolled in something dreadful at first! Absolutely horrific. strong smells for about a week now I find the whole thing distressing and very embarrassing!!! the stench was awful. Absolutely disgusting smell from Mogden last night overwhelming stench throughout the ground floor of my home last night. horrible smell most nights since the weekend. It’s been dreadful for the past few days the stench hit me

Update:Just heard From Mary she has advised me that she is away on the Next resident Meeting but i am to give her Email/Contact Details to Thames at the Next Meeting to get them to put her on the invite list and she will be sure to come to the next one.Ive also gave her MRAG'S Email Address and Steve Taylor's name so she can contact him personally about the smell etc from Mogden.

Ask her to get herself an invite to the Mogden Residents Liaison meeting at Mogden this month so she can see and hear for herself what her chosen constituency has had to put up with.
