Sarah and anybody else, if you're free for Chistmas lunch, you might care to consider becoming a temporary volunteer to a few Pensioners' organisations(such as Age Concern at the old firestation in Acton), where they always have a Christmas Day lunch party for the elderly(I think they still do). When I was a volunteer for them some years ago and when all our family were not available for our usual family Christmas lunch at home because they were on duty at work, I used to go to the old firestation in Acton and help serve meals at their Christmas parties - it was a joyful experience and made one feel really good. I had a Santa's costume in those days and the organisers liked me to turn-up in my scarlets and distribute little presents to the pensioners - I remember those lunches with great joy. It's just an idea, if you're free this Christmas. ;-)
