www.BrentfordHighStreet.com where are you?

Despite being up for almost two weeks now the new website to try to publicise and promote the shops and services available in the High Street, Brentford, there is notable lack of presence in the articles on this web site - no news article - only a cursory listing in the bowels of local links.The new website is not in competition with BrentfordTW8.com for the same Internet user, and with only minor exception, does not enroach on any content from BrentfordTW8.com - to the contrary, it willing notes the Calendar as being the BrentfordTW8.com calendar.The site is backed (amongst others) by local businesses, the local authority, two councillors from opposing parties, and is designed as a means to encourage growth in trading in the Brentford High Street.Come on - lets all get behind Brentford High Street !! The website is just another marketing tool to achieve that.Perhaps the editor of BrentfordTW8.com would like to comment?---------FOOTNOTE: Yes careful observers will note my association to the website in question, but rest assured, there was CONSIDERABLE volunteered activity to get the site possible in the the very short timescale given.

MikeThe original 'About Us' is now found by clicking on the Copyright link - not so obvious I agree.All info on participating individuals/groups/parties is there.

Stephen, congratulations on your site which is very nicely designed. Could I suggest that you add an 'About Us' section in which you detail who funds and owns the site and how it is maintained? If it is all being done on a voluntary basis that should be made clear and perhaps more people would be encouraged to help out.

Thank you Audrey.Content was put up as supplied (he says avoiding that one) though I have corrected the you-->your pointed out. When I get the addresses they will go up. The count for listigs - I have been watching that one in particular - I think it increments every time it is edited, instead of actual numbers, but am onto it.Before this thread gets highjacked any further tweaks can be reported here: website@brentfordhighstreet.comLets not stray from the original post - come on BrentfordTW8.com, don't be shy, promote other non-competitive Brentford websites.

Stephen just took a quick look at this site. It does need a little tweaking. Under "Places to Stay" it should say "your" not "you". The sub headings there are incorrect, it says 6 bed and breakfasts, only lists two and it says 1 hotel but lists more. Also, under food and drink there is no address for a couple of the establishments. Just little things that need to be taken care of.
