Hounslow Homes Free Parking

In Lion Way yesterday saw Hounslow Home park in a metered bay and then walked away without paying. Warden walked up, looked and walked on.One rule for them one for us

I didn't read Fred's reply as being sarcastic. As he said the most likely explanation is the vehicle has an operational permit. I don't see the point of making a complaint about things like this here if you are not sure of the facts. Obviously Hounslow Homes Vehicles should have free parking if they are working on jobs relating to the borough's housing stock. However on the other hand the recent press reports about doctors complaining about Hounslow's attitude to their vehicles when parked on-call perhaps suggest Parking Attendants need to be made more aware who is and isn't entitled to free parking.

Thanks Steve - but if you really do have concerns about what you consider maybe impropriety by Hounslow Parking Service - don't just post on the forum - there is no guarantee that I or any other LBH officer will read such postings (even though we do try to keep abreast of current issues on the site)  - you need also to write to me or the Parking Manager - Kevin Hagan. Then a proper investigation will happen if enough evidence is supplied

Steve - if there is a genuine concern or need for clarity posted from the public about Hounslow's policies or operation of its parking enforcement, I will always try to clarify objectively. I will never get into discussions about individual PCNs (there is a legal process) nor  diatribe about "PA's targets"- they don't exist,  or "money making" being the prime objective of the Parking Service, nor "I was only there for two minutes", which roughly translated  means " I was only breaking the law a little bit" - That's why we have only a little penalty charge of a 50% reduction if people accept they did break the law.Sorry if you felt my initial response was sarcastic - but look at some of the anti- Hounslow Parking posts and tell me they are not sarcastic - I haven't seen you protest about them in the past.

I barely remember the details because I was taking someone to the airport. However I seem to recall that there was a number on the side of the van might be 5235.It was parked in Lion Way where about 2.20 last Friday. The driver was a white guy early thirties. The attendant, was very tall and wore some form of scarf around his neck.However I dont think it warrants your time investigating and maybe next time I will collate the details for you.

Obviously  of great community interest judging by the number of responses Steve !!But you don't give any other information - like the time,  Vehicle Registration Mark, the Parking Attendant (not Warden) No. or whether you checked to see if it had an operational permit displayed - which is the likely explanation. I would be happy to investigate if this info is available.
