Thank you for that information Simon. What worries me about this is the assumption that non christians will not attend a Christmas Fair. I am not a religious person but that does not mean that I do not attend events that have a religious theme. For example, I have attended many Christian weddings in churches, Sikh weddings in gudwharas (excuse the spelling if it is wrong), Diwali events and even Christmas fairs. Many of my family who are Sikh attend events of other religions and cultures. The fact is that most reasonable people who are not christians do not get offended at the thought of having to attend a christmas fair, or any other event of a different religion to their own, but yet some people still hang on to the notion that they do.If I am wrong then perhaps someone from one of the non christian faiths can come to this forum and correct me and I will be more than happy to offer my apolosies, or perhaps you agree with me and wish to say so.Finally I wish to add that both of my children attend Smallberry Green School. My eldest is taking part in this years chsistmas production. As in previous years I expect that children of many different cultures will be taking part as well. Having the word christmas in the title doesn't seem to put many kids off taking part and many of the kids' parents attending.
