Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland

Please can I tell everyone about Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland illuminated walks? It runs from 23 November to 9th December 2007 inclusive, from 5pm to 8pm. www.syonpark.co.uk. I know I am biased because I work there but it really is so beautiful...

Not half as spooky as when I was a steward the other night, and was coming towards the lawns with the illuminated aircones. One of the aircones started moving wildly around. Bearing in that that section looks a teeny bit spacey, it scared me a little. Closer inspection showed that the aircone in question was being headbutted by a fox... Wish I'd had a camera!

There is a Xmas Grotto at Syon Park --- but it is in the Wyevale Garden Centre as usual. Their telephone number is 020 8568 0134. Give them a buzz they are very helpful over there. I think Sante arrived for the first time last Saturday --- in a Ferrari. I think he's there most days but there are specific opening times. At the weekends they are also doing a breakfast with Santa thing which sounds quite good. Hope that helps?

BeccaI looked at the Syon Park website for details about Father Christmas's Grotto but there is nothing & I thought perhaps The Enchanted Woodland might be a preamble up to the grotto, but it seems not - can you confirm please?Many thanks

Gosh I am sorry you felt that way Danielle. We have had so many posiive coments both years --- even a couple of marriage proposals! It is billed as a nighttime walk, and you are advised to wrap up warm and wear stout shoes...

i took my children 3 and four there last year and some friends of mine took a couple of older kids and it was not worth it at all freezing muddy not much to look at walking round in a big circle all the kids were asking was can we go home we were expecting a bit more for that many lights and the treck they send you on they should pay u not the other way round
