Convert or hypocrite?

Can you be a Catholic if you suport gay marriage,'late' abortion,adoption by gays and stem cell research?Surely,this is like a muslim having a bacon butty for breakfast then going to the mosque?

Are you implying that your chosen religion is encroaching of your way of thinking and then trying to sway you to believing in something that borders onto indoctination?Maybe you have the brain power to oversee the flaws, when your common sense may prevail.  But do others?

Perhaps he's just doing the fake sincerity bit,but you're right..the fact that what he has advocated for others and influenced and changed their lives negatively,as Prime Minister....whatever.

Vanessa,Don't see how asking a reasonable question is getting underwear in a twist,neither do I think your answer amounts for much as Blair actively campaigned against all these main tenets of the RC code,then joins them?Don't see how he can expect much respect on those grounds.Won't make his 'envoying' in the middle east any easier,imo,as certain factions of both sides will now hate/mistrust him equally.

The problem would seem to be that people would accuse you of imposing your religious beliefs on them, on the other hand there are Catholics who do not think that everything their faith says is right. I think it's a no-win situation personally, and I don't know why it's such a big deal or why we should get our collective underwear in a twist about it.
