I guess the main questions are - Where does the buck stop? Who is responsible for this mess and disruption caused by bad planning?Is it Chris Calvi-Freeman, Head of Transport, London Borough of Hounslow ? Who is in charge of working to alleviate the problem?Who is actually being held accountable for the chaos?What steps are being taken to ensure this type of problem can't happen in Hounslow again?And - dare I ask - has anyone actually thought to get our MP involved? She has a lot of clout hasn't she?

Vanessa - I have no sympathy for the delays in the completion of these works having bumped my way over the patched up tarmac on my bicycle far too many times in the past year.Andrew

This is to do with 'traffic management' not the transport itself, the theory being that all this upheaval and public money which has given approx. an extra one metres width will make all the difference to bus lanes along London Road. A moot point at best.

Possibly the Arts Council sees Hounslow's poor Transport Management as one of its reasons to threaten to cut the Watermans grant?

I don't even go that way to work anymore - nightmare - I can do it on the A316 in twenty minutes - sometimes less, which used to take an hour through Brentford! If Cllr. Dakers thinks Watermans possible sinking is a threat to the regeneration, then what on earth does he think this farce is? You can't even get to Watermans through Brentford unless you are prepared for traversing the London Road.

I had hoped for a smooth journey to work next week, better buy a 4X4 to get into Brentford then!

Very funny!  No, it hasn't been done and I for one am at the end of my patience with this utter disgrace.  The road surface is appallingly potholed, the street clutter is as bad as ever and the whole process has now taken over 8 months.The last cost was £800k, which has surely gone above £1m by now?Benefits = precisely none and questionable even when it is finally finished.  As a Council Tax payer and a Business Rates payer to LBH I think we deserve much better.
