""I remember seeing a post - which I can't find - in the last few days denigrating McDonalds at Brentford. I have found posts commenting on the size of the M.""I might have been me Michael on the Watermans thread...when I suggested that McDonalds posed a non-cultured vista at that riverside location. On an earlier and different thread, somebody was complaining about McDonalds advertising boards, supported on some kind of mini-scaffolding, and which were a bit untidy and prominent. Was planning permission required was the question. When we were at war with the Argentines over the Falkland Islands, where the lives of British troops and Falklanders were at risk, McDonald continued to import aircraft loads of Argentine hamburger meat into the UK via Heathrow Airport...such was and is their respect for national delicacies at such times.McDonalds are not for me...and the sight of them anywhere doesn't register on my pleasure scale. Odd aren't I?But not to spoil a Forum friendship!
