Brewery Tap is noteworthy for mixed mainstream jazz, trad/dixieland jazz bands (brass/rhythm/piano sections) , guitar based blues, folk, acoustic.  Jazz is Tuesday and Thursday.  Sunday is acoustic guitar/vocal etc jam sessions by many pros and amateurs - it is strongly influenced by the deceased and acclaimed Steve Benbow.  I think Saturday is a piano  sing along night.Tonight was packed at BT with piano drums, bass, trombone, two trumpets and probably more instruments.  Many musicians were sitting in the audience.Currently  there is a display of paintings at BT- maybe 20 - mainly with a canal theme.  I noticed paintings of Brentford Lock, canal at Tring, Ivinghoe.  I think there was an art exhibition there in January. The Globe has strong music offering probably blues.  The Six Bells has rock bands on Sunday.I notice that one of the Chiswick Pubs -  maybe Packhorse and Talbot - has a strong jazz offering.  On Jan 20th there is the National Jazz Orchestra there with tickets at £10.I think the Coach & Horses in Isleworth had a strong jazz band but I haven't been there.Twickenham has the Eel Pie Club at the Cabbage Patch which I believe endeavours to continue the blues/rock tradition of Eel Pie Island.Ealing has cabaret style singers and jazz bands in restaurants and cafes.  There's a Mexican singer Jorge Rodriguez? with a regular date there at a western style restarant on the main Uxbridge Road near Hanwell. I'd guess Ealing is a huge influence given the amount of musicians there, the Ealing Jazz, Blues festivals and the Ealing Big Band. There is a Hammersmith based record studio with large roster of acoustic guitar artists who used to have gigs at the Waterside Cafe in Brentford.West London is music and nowhere more so than Brentford.
