Stolen Caravan

STOLEN CARAVANThe caravan shown in the 2nd picture was stolen from Cambridge Yard, Hanwell on Saturday the 19th of January 2008 at 12.30pm.The caravan was taken away by two men with the aid of the campervan shown in both pictures (reg. no. L440 ???). The campervan and caravan are shown leaving Cambridge Road, Hanwell and turning left heading towards Boston Manor. The caravan will have been a bit grubby as it has been overwintered in the open, awaiting spring cleaning.The owner would be extremely grateful if you can help locate the caravan .You can contact him through me by using this forum or click on my name and send me an e-mail.Many Thanks

Very sorry to hear about that theft.. Linda and Peter...what a cheek they had.. to say the least.  Any news.I recall that George on Summerwood had his nicked a year or so back.. crime seems so rampant.  Have you been hearing about all these wayward adults and kids from Romania taking Slough and surrounds to the cleaners?

Hi Jim - the sad thing is that some of us saw it go, they were so blatant about it that nobody thought it was being stolen!Posted it in the vain hope that someone might have seen it on it's travels away from Hanwell.

Some of these people have got more front than Selfridges and that's why they get away with these awful things. I speak from the heart as someone who has just found out that their bank account has been cleared out yesterday, causing so much grief apart from the loss. But while we have Judges who are so feeble when these scrotes are caught, they will go on hurting others without a care in the world.

Vanessa, you have my sympathy as that happened to me a few years back on a cloned debit card.An awful feeling especially to think that someone is going about pretending to be you. It was spent in sports gear and record shops and lots of cash back at supermarkets around Harrow and Hatch End. Hope it is sorted out soon.

I only found out when I went to the ATM today - and then was able to check on Internet Banking, the bank can't stop the payment and I have to wait 3 days until we can find out who the money was paid to, meanwhile had to start 'phoning to make arrangements to pay bills that are due on d.d.now, a real pain, although everyone was very helpful. To add insult to injury it was my pension! I wish all these tea-leaves the worst of everything.

The agony endured by victims of crime is a black cloud over so many peoples lives.Victims of crime must always be remembered by those who support soft penalties!The scalleywags who cause all this turmoil..when caught.. should be bundled off to some remote prisons. If our prisons are packed and overflowing..well let's use other European ones..perhaps Romania and Bulgaria!

Sorry to hear about the assault on you via your bank account, Vanessa.I heard that the caravan critters raid fire stations to get hold of the serious bolt cutters used to cut accident victims out of cars.  Wonder how many of these cutters have been stolen to order, over the years?Years ago I was told by a 'reformed' gang member how they used to steal cars and plant machinery to order and how the whole thing was planned so that often by the time the theft was discovered, the car was already on the continent. One story was about how they were stealing a crane to order from a site on a Sunday and the Police came along and closed the road off to help them work ...If somebody had challenged the caravan critters they would probably have produced forged loan company documents, to justify their removal of the van.Hope you get it back.

No doubt the prisons in Romania etc. are empty as they seem to have exported their villains here judging by this weeks events in Slough! Those poor children, just when you think you've heard it all - human nature never ceases to amaze and appall.
