KevinVery interesting. The article is by Sian Berry, the Green Candidate for Mayor of London. In it she says:"As a Green now, I appreciate the importance of our high streets not as placemarkers on a student version of the Odyssey, but at the core of a vast range of diverse local communities. However, I was reminded about that trip this week, as I was shown around the streets, canals and islands behind Brentford High Street on a fascinating tour with local councillor Andrew Dakers." "Andrew is working hard to make sure Brentford town centre gets the maximum benefit from a major redevelopment of the area to the south of the local high street, and he was elected (as a LibDem) largely because of his leadership in pulling together local people to propose their own vision for the regeneration"In view of the fact that Andrew Dakers is a Lib Dem councillor and former Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate, I wonder what the Lib Dem leadership, and in particular Brian Paddick, the Lib Dem Mayoral candidate, thinks of Andrew Dakers showing Sian Berry, the Green Mayoral candidate, around Brentford ? And being mentioned by her in this New Statesman article.Has Andrew Dakerws been guilty of brecahing Lib Dem Party discipline ? Does the Lib Dem Party have any discipline ? Is he giving aid and comfort to Brian Paddick's opponent? On the other hand, Andrew Dakers is a young man and Sian Berry is by all accounts a very attractive young woman. And an engineering graduate of Oxford University no less ! Maybe this friendship forged on the streets of Brentford may lead to Andrew throwing away his Yellow Lib Dem Rosette and exchanging it and his allegiance for a Green one ?Or maybe it is part of a secret Lib-Dem/Green  Pact whereby the Greens would not to run a candidate in Brentford at the next election ?
