Grafitti is still a blight in the area

Do people ever get caught pasting up grafitti?Do the Police have any success matching up those tags?Do the Police have luck tracing the culprits?It's all a great pity to see some areas blighted.The Brook Road North railway bridge looks much improved..but have you seen the classic Brentford murals in Lateward Park?

Jim, you once lost a great opportunity to get three youths spray painting the underside of a bridge when you photographed them at work from a canal boat, if only you could have got their faces on camera.

This wall in Northumberland Avenue in Isleworth could well be 150-200 years old..and is located. we believe, on the perimeter of Syon Hill Farm.Someone must know who grafittied it?

Perhaps if the community sentences involved removing the graffiti instead of clearing up the local *(its not a problem) dogging cottaging sex cruising sites they would be more effective. To be honest though the advertising hoardings that blight this area are at least as offensive in my opinion the only real differance is the hourdings are put up be wealthy business men (big rich scroutes) as apossed to young often poor scroutes which are easer to punish and don't have mates on the councle.*See post - The Hounslow Chronicle Thurs 17th  2008.

There is a huge white fence fronting the West Middx building site which was being repainted yesterday lunchtime, to erase the weekends grafitti.  Would it not be an opportunity to allow 'artistic' grafitti to cover it -?  :-)

Ah, yes St Paul's Recreation Ground. Thanks Mark.That's where youngsters can let their hair down.. and it seems that some of them have!Not sure how that mural can be revived...careful restoration no doubt and more dosh!Andrew: all your points noted. We must not give up!

JimYes the SNT teams in some areas have organised clean up initiatives not only to clear , and have apprehended some of these scroats who are blighting our town, but when they are hauled into court.........yes you have guessed it....community sentences, and half the time they don't turn up. I have said it along with many others, there is no deterrent sentences handed down,not only for this offence but many others, and all we hear from Gordo is another bit of legislation to combat it............end of rant!
