Local charities / campaigns / volunteer groups

No promises, but...I work for a large international engineering design company whose main offices for Europe are located in Brentford.  The company would like to increase their involvement / support of local innitiatives and projects and are drawing up a list of potential organisations with which to associate themselves with.If you know of a local (TW8 area) charity / campaign or volunteer group who would appreciate additional support (perhaps financial, perhaps practical, perhaps promotional) then drop me a reply to this topic.Early days and like I say no promises.Ken

Have you heard of the Brentford Festival?  The Friends of Boston Manor are the main players behind this event which in its first three years has gone from strength to strength reaching just under 10,000 visitors last year.  We have our first "Organising Committee" Meeting for the 2008 festival on Tuesday 12th February 7 pm (food, refreshments and chats at 6.30 pm) in the Pavilion Cafe within Boston Manor Park.  This is short notice I know but you (and anyone else who feels that they can offer help in some way) would be very welcome to come along and see what it is all about.  We always require a "labour force", finances and more to make this community event be the success it is.  In addition, corporate environmental activities can be arranged.  Feel free to contact me on 07831 106973 or linda.massey@virgin.net  (Linda Massey)
