Did you hear Mr. Moneybags on the Mike Harding radio 2 show last Wednesday saying thelike of how he originally got into politics to champion the working classes.He seems to be getting as far away from them as he can now and charging them for it. It amazes me how mps can also claim £400 pm. for food without receipts. Is not food an expense that we all have and have to pay for out of wage?I wish I could charge my employer for my food.They are an absolute shower.

However, when it comes to "keeping it in the family" I think the ICG members could well think on - that out of all the hundreds of members and supporters they claim to have out of six Councillors there are two married couples and a "P.A." who was an unsuccessful candidate. Pots and kettles?

What is of concern is the word that they BOTH claim substantial allowances for the SAME accommodation."Jim, Although they are not breaking any law with these claims, we should all be protesting that NEITHER of them should be reciving taxpayers money to subsidise their second home! These people are in a government that denies life saving/preserving drugs to cancer sufferers based on cost, similarly the same with Altzheimer sufferers. Finally, nearly 30,000 poor sods have had their homes reposessed, just wait and see what help they will receive from this lot and this nose in the trough couple.

All MP's are able to claim £400 per month expenses without providing receipts.I have no quarms about Mr and Mrs Keen having a flat in Soho/Covent Garden so that they can be nearer to Whitehall. What is of concern is the word that they BOTH claim substantial allowances for the SAME accommodation.I look foreward to seeing them both in action at their forthcoming Heathrow meeting at the Paul Robeson theatre.Maybe ex-Councillor David Hughes will be there to usher me to my front row seat!

Do they spend ages trying to get a photo which looks like the person is pulling a face, or is it simple digital manipulation that does it?Seems to me that the regulations concerning constituency spenditure should include regulated pay and conditions structures to protect all involved.

Agreed - I think Brown, Cameron and the lib dem bloke all agree on that and Mr & Mrs Keen will have no option. However, as rumour has it??? that they won't be standing again I assume they won't be affected so their son won't have a job anyway (and will be able to take one of those higher paid outside jobs his father alluded to)

I think with all the current furore going on and Gordon Brown's instruction that all Labour M.Ps should come clean we may at last get some transparency into a very murky area. The latest bit being that all M.Ps can claim their weekly shopping bill too, is insult to injury. All M.Ps must be made to account for the money they spend, it is after all, ours.
