But surely this man can afford several years of council rent from his inflated salary and his no doubt inevitable pay-off that will more than likely by massive and tax-free. (Oh sorry touch of scepticism creeping in)Still I am pleased to be effectively paying more tax now due to the new budget and subsidising people like this, thank god we are a free country, where I am free to be exploited and soaked for all I have to fund lovely people like this and great projects like Ken's proposal to send a London bus on a tour of the world or something to promote the London 2012 games! Fantastic, never mind the needy or homeless in London, send a bunch of council staff on a jolly for several months, fantastic PR.But who am I to question Ken, I am not just part of the bankroll under his boot and the means to a better life for him and his friends? or have I missed some hidden benefit to me, my family and the rest of working London?Maybe the higher travel costs or the worsening public transport (bet you can't get a seat on a train or tube ever during teh morning or evening commute)or the collosal waste of public monies or the PPP make up for it?(Ok that one is not down to Ken I know)Don't get me wrong, a long time ago I did believe that he would benefit London and perhaps at the start he did but all there seems to be now is corruption and waste of hard earned public monies and he seems to be so far above us Londoners that how can he possibly help us anymore, power seems to have corrupted him too far.The fact that when one of his friends was challenged he stopped answering questions and presented the image of a dictator that someone had dared to oppose just makes many of us think he has something more sinister to hide.
