Insulting our service people

What a disgusting bunch of thugs and cowards who are abusing our men and women, for wearing their uniforms in public. This offence should be dealt with by the police with a zero tolerance. We have racial and homophobic crimes which are treated with urgency, I suggest that this offence is treated in the same manner.  We have today heard of the bravery of our men and women at a medal ceremony, and these scumbags need to undergo some history lessons, to show what people like these did for us in the Battle of Britain, they may have well been wearing jackboots and speaking German, or worse executed for speaking out, what the bloody hell is this poxy country coming to?

If only....We can't even get rid of the eastern european and other gang masters, fraudsters, rapists, murderers, people trafficers, and other assorted "scroats" who blight our lives. But be assured, the full force of the law will descend on anybody who takes a swing at these cowards who insult and abuse our service men and women.Neil, ref"I bet if they were under threat from an enemy or there was another firefighters strike they wouldn't be so quick to insult and attack these people".I'm afraid they would, and indeed do in some areas of the country. Reports have shown firemen and their vehicles under attack,and the same for ambulance services with no police protection. My answer, as I have often said, is take the handcuffs off the police and put them back on the criminal thugs coupled with a zero tolerance for ALL crimes. To appease the luvvies who will object no doubt, I would be happy to see the handcuffs "fur lined"!

Speaking as an ex RAF Regiment Officer, I am sickened by these so called "British" people that do this.Perhaps they should be ejected from this country as unfit to enjoy the protection of our armed forces. I bet if they were under threat from an enemy or there was another firefighters strike they wouldn't be so quick to insult and attack these people.Discraceful.

RobertThnks for your reply, you have hit the spot exactly. I tam deeply disappointed that there has been so little response, are we going to allow these thugs to get away with this. I would ask the councillors in Hounslow  to move towards setting a  day aside to honour our military personnel! ARE THERE ANY COUNCILLORS OUT THERE WHO WILL PROPOSE THIS?

ColinUnfortunaely the sandal wearing PC tree huggers, do not allow teachers to discuss how the freedoms we all enjoy today was  won, and the sacrifices that were made by many brave men and women! Suggestions are wanted for a statue in parliament square...........that's an easy one, Group captain Douglas Bader, the legless pilot who led the few in 1940 against the mighty German luftwaffe, defeated them although outnumbered at times 10 to 1, and thus made the Jery's cancel operation Sealion which was to be the invasion of GREAT BRITAIN............that's why you are enjoying FOS, so my message to the luvvies is thank god we still have brave men and women to volunteer to fight for this country, if you don't like our foreign policy, attack the people who send them to do their dirty work!

The irony is, of course, is that the armed forces gave these people the freedom to say the things they say.

AMJA I am in Total agreement with you aswell.We should be VERY proud of our Service Men and Women and the Hard and dangerous Job they do..we should walk down the street and when we see someone in Uniform go over to them Shake their hand and Pat them on the Back and Thank Them.
