Proposed Tube Strikes
Just read the news about the current tube strike arguments and was confused by a point.Ken Livingstone is aggresively against unions encouraging members to take action against what they feel are unfair conditions?Isn't that one of the cornerstones of the Labour history? To protect workers and uphold the rights of unions to strike when neccesary? Now I am not keen on strikes on the tube as we will all suffer as a result and rarely gain anything from it, let's face it a strike is paid for by the London consumer 100% every time. But surely before he was Mayor he would have been one of the ones backing this sort of action? Now because he is in power, he is opposed? I don't get it, either you believe in the right to strike or not?Can someone enlighten me as I actually confused about this one.....
