The Labour Crewe can pack their bags

FIRST it was the total humiliation of the New Labour/Socialist Alliance in last week’s Council elections in a collapse of votes not witnessed previously by this generation.THEN came the dramatic demise of Ken (I don’t mind Terrorists) Livingstone - who would have secured more votes had he dropped the word Labour off of his Ticket - despite buying many of his voters a new city quarter under the pretence of it being the Olympic village.BUT Ladies & Gentlemen here comes the BIG ONE. Very soon the voters of Crewe will speak on behalf of the whole country when they illustrate just how much we all hate Brown and his Rag Bag of Asti Spumanti Socialists (we can’t afford Champagne anymore) as they firmly bang home the final nail into Gordon’s coffin.Immediately after the Crewe election has been realised the socialist plotters will be at work figuring out how they can foist a second Prime Minister on us without the benefit of an election… But by then it will be too late – pack your bags Gordon.

PhilI agree 100%. What happened in the past has passed and is indeed history.Now we can look forward to the Crewe and Nantwich By Election where evidently the Labour Party is mounting a desperate and dirty campaign worthy of the Liberal Democrats at their worst.

DavidAs far as I'm concerned the election of 2002, unpleasant though the Labour campaign was, is history.  My intervention on this thread followed Vanessa's criticism of people who use the forum to attack those who don't share their own political views.  In my contention there was never a better example of the old saying about pots and kettles.  I think that fact was worthy of a mention, but the point has been made.

TontIf you read my posting, which wasn't very long after all, you will see that I accepted my share of the responsibility for the negative exchanges which so often replace constructive political dialogue on this forum.  My point was that one of the people who jumped on the bandwagon and joined in throwing stones, namely Vanessa Smith, is probably herself one of the biggest culprits of all in this department.  Don't take my word for it, have a look back through recent debates and see for yourself.  Everybody who doesn't share her view of the world to the smallest detail is a "pillock" or something similar.Pots and kettles, yes most certainly.

MarkYou make a good point and most of us who are involved in local politics are guilty of going over the top from time to time.  My post on this thread was to highlight the fact that Vanessa, who tells people who use the forum to express their political views and put down others who do not share them to get a life, is in fact herself quite possibly the very worst culprit.

I think Phil using the Forum to put over personal political views is very sad.You know as well as I do whatever party people support you wont change their views.If you support or vote for one party fine,dont use the Forum to slag other people off who dont share the same views.
