Lunatics have taken over this forum......

I made the mistake of posting to the 'Voting for Boris was a disaster' thread several days ago and ever since my in box has been clogged by inane postings from a handful of people who seem to enjoy abusing each other on this site. Add to this some strange posts by someone who appears to be the right of Attila the Hun but enjoys a full name with two middle initials I am thinking of turning off the auto notification button, or of avoiding the Brentford site altogether......when will sanity rule?

Socialism is an idea - a political philosophy (which, incidentally has nothing whatever in common with the politics of New Labour). Are you suggesting that people now be penalised for the ideas they espouse? That sounds more like Blairism than the traditional British belief in freedom of speech, thought and association.

Good one Harley. However if you are a Conservative you needn't apply for a  government grant. Conservatives can add a middle name for free by registering it at birth or by paying a small charge to have it added on later by deed poll.Only Socialists would dream of applying for a Government grant for this sort of thing. But that's the way Socialists think e.g" What can I get for free and how can I get my hands on other people's money."Socialism is organised theft.The sooner it is made illegal the better.

Phil, perhaps you should consider inserting a middle initial to add some gravitas (e.g. Harry S Truman).I'm not sure where Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson fits on Iain's scale!

Perhaps there should be two forums... One for the politically sophisticated, educated elite whose level of debate is both well constructed and erudite and the other for dumb ‘Baggage Handlers’ like me who think erudite is a brand of glue.By the way A.M.J.A. I think you will find Iain Muir was referring to me when he said “Add to this some strange posts by someone who appears to be the right of Attila the Hun but enjoys a full name with two middle initials”I called myself this to differentiate myself from my son Harley FJ in case he should wish to join at a later date, not thinking that two middle initials might be disconcerting to people of a certain disposition.

I would suggest. You may consider yourself a civil libertarian, but it appears from your comments that you think it funny to think it humorous to refer to catholics  as taigs, I don't mind being compared to Attila the Hun now, because that IS funny, are you feeling bruised because your heroes took a beating in the election.
