Hounslow Homes-What Do I Get For My Money?
I wonder if anyone, who doesn't work for Hounslow Homes (HH), can enlighten me.I pay a lot of service charges to HH as a private leaseholder in Cedar Court and am totally in the dark what services I actually get for my money.When I have asked I have been ignored and as a contract must have two parts consideration and services provided, I am legally entitled to know in detail what I get for my money.For example; Caretaker. What caretaker? The man that parks a van in the residents car park all day and seems to do nothing? I want a list of the things that I have part-paid for over the last 12 months that he or she (apologies if you are a woman) has actually done,I don't feel that parking a big van across twor or three car parking spaces is of benefit to me or the other residents.Example two: buildings insurance. Where is my copy of the policy that I paid nearly 10 x over the odds for (yes I checked on real prices and man do I get stitched up)Example three: general repairs and upkeep. Where, what, when and how much, I see no evidence of anything.In fact all I have ever seen is grass cutting once every month or so, and an exterior light bulb repair (never actually saw it repaired) that I reported.Although they did put in recycling bins after I requested them which was a good move, shame they didn't put in a plastic bin as lots of that needs to get recycled.Don't get me wrong. I pay my way in the world, always have but no more patience is available for HH and their "pay up or else" tactics or demaniding money but ignoring me if I dare to question or object to anything So if someone can tell me what I am getting for my money I would be grateful because it just looks like one more council department fleecing me to line their own pockets and then telling me to take a hike if I disagree with themI dearly hope it isn't the case as I stand up for myself
