Scanner Help

Can anyone suggest a good scanner that will work with my Lap Top Please.Ive got Windows Xp VistaThank U

Epson's official site gives an XP driver but no Vista driver:http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0000461.aspI did however see a comment from someone who managed (with a bit of difficulty) to install the XP driver on his Vista PC, and says it works fine.Alternatively, there is a site from where you can download a Vista driver for the FB630u, though I've no idea how trustworthy the site is:http://windows-vista-updates.blogspot.com/2007/05/canon-scanner-drivers-for-windows-vista.html

AndrewNo Cd but i am going on line now to find the Software so thank you for your Advice

SimonDid you get an installation CD with it? My small amount of experience suggests that if the drivers are not compatible with your windows system, a message will be displayed on the screen. If not you may be able to download a suitable driver for it on the internet....good luck! hope this may be of help!

Richardhi..someone gave me a Canon Fb 630u..not tried it yet do u no if this type of scanner would be ok

"Ive got Windows Xp Vista"You might have Windows XP or you might have Windows Vista, but there is no such thing as "Windows XP Vista".  I would guess most if not all new scanners would cope with both anyway, but it would be important if you were thinking about a secondhand one via Ebay, for example.  Have you considered an "all-in-one" printer which has a scanner/copier included?  Some of them are now less than £40 (e.g. the Epson DX4450) but I've no experience of their quality.
