Knife Crime

So now folks, you can all sleep soundly in your beds at night, knowing that your kids will be safe on the streets! Gordon has after 11 years in power, decided that the way to prevent them from carrying knives, is to now prosecute 16 year olds, instead of just  18 year olds and above, rather than issue them with a caution. Am I missing something here, haven't we heard of 11-15 year olds, carrying knives but in some cases using them, a slap on the wrist will deter them will it?The present legislation regarding this is a farce, very few have been sent to prison for the offence. When will they wake up and realise that there is a deterrent in place, and unless the judiciary use it, nothing will change IMO, All should face prosecution for doing so, and unless we do, we will continually see on the news that another youngster has been murdered!........Have I got it wrong?

I wonder how many of our young folk in Brentford and Ealing carry knives?  Are there many d'you think?  There are some areas in Ealing which are "no go" domains at weekends, especially at night.  It's not unusual to see on a sunday morning, patches of blood on the pavements outside pubs and nightclubs in the Ealing Broadway area. Sad really.

Quite disgusting that only 9 of our 74 London MPs bothered to turn up to the House of Commons for the Knife Crime debate last week. Obviously not a problem as MP's are no doubt using all their spare time to check their 'expenses'

Yeah...surely the way to influence someone is to intervene at as young an age as possible.Too little too late methinks.
