It was strange not to see a photo of at least one of them in the local Times or Chronicle last week as they would usually attend the opening of an envelope if it involved a picture opportunity. Are they hoping their expenses issue will blow over in time or has Alan accepted another free trip to a football tournament paid for by McDonalds again?

An especially gratifying result considering that Alan spent most of the election period "helping" the Labour team in Isleworth to conduct its hugely successful campaign against the ICG, having assured himself that Brentford was in the bag.

Indeed and hats off to Andrew who as you say had an outstanding campaign and proved there is no place for complacency in local politics.

Alan Sheerins did stand in the 'safe Labour seat of Brentford' in May 2006; he was defeated by Andrew Dakers the Lib Dem candidate who had an outstanding campaign and achieved a three fold increase in the Lib Dem vote.

Come on, who could blame him for standing in Brentford where he knew he couldn't lose?
Just a shame he never stood in Isleworth as he once proclaimed he would and stood in the safe Brentford seat instead.I bet there was a real fight for his committee position when he left!!
Titter ye not lad, his novel campaign in Isleworth set local politics alight.
Oh what could have been for our Alan eh? Still he was the best campaign manager the Community Group ever had LOL.
Mr. Sheerins has indeed relocated to greener fields, but was nonetheless spotted in Hounslow High Street a couple of weeks ago paying a nostalgic visit to his lost empire. Still, maybe next time...?
You may have solved the mystery Andrew, perhaps they have sloped off under the cover of darkness to the Emerald Isle to be fawned upon by Comrade Sheerins.

Have either of them held any surgerys for their constituents (by appointment of course!) Isn't it a condition that they hold these while parliament is sitting, who do you contact if you have an urgent problem that needs addressing? Do you have the answer Mr Sheerins?
