Local Tamil Community

I had the pleasure on Saturday afternoon of visiting the Tamil Community Centre in Hounslow with Phil Andrews which was part of the refugee week.May I say what a very hospitable people they are and the food and enterainment laid on was excellent.This small Community provides access to health, education and general well being and has yet to ask Hounslow for any financial help whatsover.

Over the years I have urged local groups to join in the Brentford Festival which is an opportunity to showcase their good works and also to raise some all important funds.  The Committee continue to trawl lists of groups within the borough.  Perhaps you, and all others reading this message, could forward the www.fobm.org.uk link to them and ask them to view the Brentford Festival Section and fill in an application form.  Hard copies available at the Pavilion Cafe within the park which is open weekends 9 to 4.  The festival is on Sunday 7th September this year.
