Hounslow Chronicle online
The Hounslow Chronicle has launched a new website at www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk – and we would love it if you got involved.The site has all of the news, lifestyle, What's On, local history and columnists from the paper, plus unique content like online campaigns, votes, blogs and breaking Hounslow news as it happens.But the central idea behind the website is to get more in touch with our local communities and open up the traditional role of the newspaper to get real people involved.Coming off the main front page of the site are the hyperlocal sites which are designed to become a community hub for everyone and everything. At present we have http://feltham.hounslowchronicle.co.uk, http://hounslow.hounslowchronicle.co.uk, http://isleworth.hounslowchronicle.co.uk and http://brentford.hounslowchronicle.co.uk but in the coming months we will open a hyperlocal for each small area of the borough.I would like to invite you to become one of our trusted contributors so that you can post your news and pictures up whenever you want. It is a simple case of giving you a username and password and a quick chat over the phone on how to use the very simple blogging system. Check out your hyperlocal site and see what you think.As an active member of the local community the site also gives you the opportunity to comment on the issues that affect your area.
