Anyone know what's happening?

I don't think it is. It has been taken over by the chap who also runs the Princess Royal. He was asked by Fullers if he was interested in taking it over.

Hard to see how the pub will survive without the draw of live music - it's not being 'gastroed' is it?

That's a shame. It does seem a bit sudden. The change could be because of the new licensing laws which seem to have led to much tighter conditions for live music venues leading to a few closing across West London.

Glad to hear that. I did not know these pubs had music I will try them

Certainly not the last "real" music pub in Brentford. What about the Brewery Tap and the Six Bells. The music may not be to everyones taste but it is real.

Why though?All a bit sudden.

Yes Saturday was the last night. Charlie and Beata have gone and so to the live music. Sad, the last real music pub in Brentford

Was it the music from the leaving party that we could hear on Saturday night - it certainly sounded as if the party rocked !!

Is/was the Globe a good pub? What are the qualities that go to make an excellent pub?
