traffic hold up caused by buses changing crews.

why are buses allowed to use the high street at brentford to change crews?On more then one occasion there have been two or more buses changing crews and blocking traffic in the high street,they do not pull in properly,and they are parked up out of their marked bus stop and even when the parking is forbidden.sometimes they are on both side of the high street and both waiting for replacement crews.

Saw a similar thing tonight involving a 65 bus parked just after turning right at the Ealing Road junction.  The bus had its engine running, loads of passengers on board, no-one was waiting to get on board, but the bus driver had decided to take a break & read his paper.  As a consequence the traffic behind turning right into Ealing Road couldn't get past due to the traffic queues coming the other way down Ealing Road.

This bus-stop is particularly important as passengers change there from the 235s to 237, 267, E2 and E8s.  It is usually quite busy.There is no electronic indicator board at this stop showing the status of when buses are expected other than the standard paper timetables.  The same is true for the Brentford High Street bus stop opposite for westbound buses.

Buses often have to change drivers en route.  The Brentford town centre stop is the nearest to the Metroline depot in Commerce Road.  The replacement driver should be ready and waiting, so as to minimise the delay to passengers and through traffic.  I will raise  this with Metroline.Chris Calvi-FreemanHead of TransportLondon Borough of Hounslow
