Words that offend the liberal left

Wendy Richards AKA, Pauline Fowler of EastEnders fame, has fallen foul of the tree huggers, by describing a member of the BB house, as being oriental. Has the bloody country gone mad? Oriental means:-Often Oriental Of or relating to the countries of the Orient or their peoples or cultures; eastern.This is another bizarre perception that we have imported from the states, where the word is also seen as offensive, but I bet it doesn't offend the people from the or***t, only the white liberal left, who are destroying this country. The only way to stop it is to confront it, and let them know that we are not going to live under this cloud!I have committed a crime on W4, which had the luvvies climbing over one another to protest that I had referred to those who set up cannabis farms, as Vietnamese. Racist bigot, and other words of abuse, were hurled by the usual bunch of cretins, who see offence in everything they don't agree with.  Soon we will have to speak out of the corner of our mouths, (I have noticed that many already do so!) when referring to "asylum, immigration, nationality, terrorists, black etc etc, soon the En***sh dictionary will have to be written, God help this country if ever they gain local or government power, instead of being the vociferous minority making a bloody nuisance of themselves!

Andrew you seem a bit confused about what I said in my post so I will repeat it-: 'I don't get offended by ether term as I am not from that part of the world' . It would seem to me you are the only one offended by the term or feel others should be. As for only one Asian person having a problem with it , perhaps you should post your comments on a web site in China, It would have more 'orientals' on it.

PhilipPlease comment on why the orient is so offensive. Is Leyton Orient, the Orient Express,the Orient line cruises also offensive Orient means East. Orienting a compass means locating East."I don't believe the Orient is a term used on maps, so it is incorrect, like it or not"No I certainly don't like it, and certainly not because  it's not on a map, neither is east, west, south, but they are there aren't they? Philip I can't believe that you put this up as a reason for not using it. Isn't it amazing that as far as I know, not one person from S.E Asia has complained, as usual it is white people patronising them, by pretending to be offended on their behalf.....they can speak for themslves.......can't they?

The Orient, also more correctly known as southeast Asia. The British (and hence most English speaking countries)used the term the 'Orient' to distinguish between the parts of Asia we occupied and the bits we did not. I don't get offended by ether term as I am not from that part of the world, however I don't believe the Orient is a term used on maps, so it is incorrect, like it or not.

So my advice for what it's worth don't open the thread, there are many others less controversial than the ones in question. So Emily, if after the first rude/offensive (for you) post that you read dooooooooooont read on any furthermake sense...........? That way you won't feel sick, agree?Now I will be the first to agree that it was not the most gentlemanly reply, but it pales into insignificance alongside his (JC) abuse to me with his ill thought out and ill founded post, notwithstanding the blatant lies. I will wait for your response to a) Your lies and b) examples of my extremist views, especially the ones containing "vile and vomit" so put up or shut up, that goes to VS also!

HarleyYou missed the cruise you told me you had booked up on the Orient line. You should have also avoided giving out this information especially with JC and VS about, you're asking for all kinds of responses, no matter whether they're lies or not, that makes no difference to these two. They don't know the difference between lies, truth, and half truths.I have even been elevated to the fact that I once stood as a councillor in Hounslow Central, one of us must be suffering from amnesia (not the milk of!) I don't think it's me, must be JC. do you remember Harley when this mythical election took place?Have you noticed his initials (JC) I think he believes he is the Messiah)!

Oh Blimey... I was planning to take my wife on a trip on the Orient-Express. She joined your little group, and stood for election a couple of times, and she also got her arse kicked. My rantings as she puts it, encourages me, yes it certainly does that, when an upright pillock of the community libels me. Criicise me by all means but if I am as you both suggest "extreme", at least have the decency to give some evidence, and I await with extreme eagerness to await your posting on here with the result of the mythical election result when I stood as a councillor. (1st of your lies). As a member of the HRG, I supported, by helping to deliver leaflets on his behalf, who just happened to be a gentleman from an ethnic minority, who wished to stand as an Independent councillor. He achieved, if my memory serves me right, in excess of 400 votes, this in spite of slurs and lies from the Labour Group,  On this occasion I believe he beat the Conservatives. This was in Bedfont. 1n the election of 1998, and in spite of an amount of money being offered by us, if you or your party could substantiate any of these lies, nothing was forthcoming.Do you also remember the court case in Isleworth, where your party (New Labour) tried to destroy the ICG, because they were beginning to make a positive impact not only in Isleworth but across the borough, I think you should take a leaf out of their book, just look at Cllr.Fisher and his lady wife as examples to copy. Phil Andrews’s success is down to his honesty and hard work, to get him and his wife where they are today. If ever they select a candidate to stand in my ward, they get my vote. Copy their example and leave out the lies, it only ends up with you looking an untrustworthy councillor” The Gentleman concerned then stood for the Lib-Dems, but again was not elected. And in 2006, believe it or not he stood again, this time as an Independent Alliance councillor along with Peter Hills, I think this is the very Alliance that you set up, because of your fallout with New Labour. I am not going to give the gentleman’s name because he is a good  and honest man and should not be involved in your lies.If you have time, let me know where I have gone wrong, and become a bigot for asking why oriental is offensive, or even any other examples that you think covers your opinions, remember Councillor, you have to have a good memory to be a good liar, talk is cheap, evidence is not. If as you say, I have stood as a councillor (heaven forbid!!) there should be a table of the results. OK apology or evidence?........ it’s now up to you now!

I will give £20 of my meagre pension to a charity of your choice, if you can produce any evidence that I have EVER stood as a councillor. Yes by extremist agenda as you so delicately put it is currently in defence of our much maligned soldiers, who was refused entrance in to a hotel in Woking, but knowing your communist agenda you would not comment on it. By the way that you responded to a young person's (Emily Robertson's) concern about verbal abuse on the W4 site you demonstrate that your personal agenda is dominated by bile and vomit for all who disagree with your extremist agenda.Your inability to understand how I came to fall out with the Labour Party is a demonstration of your failure to grasp even the most elementary facts about my long fight with the local Labour establishment. For what it is worth, I would rather be a "has been" than a "never was" like you. I wish I had some tranquilisers when looking at the crap you write. You haven't learned anything at all have you, even after having your arse kicked out of your beloved party, and into the political wilderness. You also obviously have no concern, for anyone being pilloried and accused of racism, and who might then possibly face unfounded accusations and abuse from idiots like you, just for using every day common words/expressions.
