Bus Strike on Friday 10 October - Likely to affect five bus routes in Hounslow borough

Bus drivers operating from First, Metrobus, and some Metroline depots will hold a 24 hour strike from 03:00 on Friday 10 October to 03:00 on Saturday 11 October.The strike is likely to affect the following routes operating in Hounslow borough:90  Feltham to Northolt (operated by Metroline)  105  Heathrow Central Terminal Area to Greenford (operated by First)E3  Edensor Road Chiswick to Greenford (operated by First)E6  Hayes to Greenford (operated by Metroline) X26  West Croydon to Heathrow Central Terminal Area via Hatton Cross (express service) (operated by Metrobus.)Please note that buses operated by Metroline from their Brentford deport are NOT likely to be affected by the strike. Strangely enough I left for work early today on the basis that the traffic would be worse - no - it was better than it had been all week on the A316 - I suspect a lot of people thought - sod it - and took the day off!

I should add that the information that buses operating from Metroline’s Brentford depot (routes 117, 190, 237, 635, E2 and E8) are NOT likely to be affected by the strike is very recent information and differs from the information on TfL’s posters placed yesterday in bus shelters.TfL’s website currently shows these routes as affected by the strike, but they may update their website later this evening.For the full list of buses likely to be affected by the strike, please refer to the TfL website Of course nothing can be guaranteed.
