Furniture

Any one know where i can get cheap quality furniture,cooker,fridge.Or even free furniture .

Not sure if too late but the Friends of Boston Manor are going to be changing the furniture in the cafe previously donated by GSK.  We have around 5 round tables and 20 upholstered chairs in various conditions.  Obviously originally used as office furniture but equally good as a dining room or study set.  We need to replace to something much lighter to enable us to move/stack for the ever increasing pavilion hires that we are doing.  If you are interested (small donation would be welcome towards new furniture)then the cafe is open (Boston Manor Park - where the festival was in September)on Saturday and Sunday 9.00 to 4.00.

Splendid assortment of electricals at the Scout Bazaar coming up shortly!John Davies said on an earlier thread -I can confirm that the dates are 8th November for collection and sorting, 15th for the bazaar. Venue, as usual Isleworth & Syon School, Ridgeway Road, Isleworth. Please come along and and pick up a bargain while helping 1st Osterley Scout Group.Please remember that girls are now welcome to join the Scouts. 1st Osterley Scouts aim to give our youth the traditional Scouting experience. They will learn skills and make friends that will stay with them for the rest of their days. If you have a child, aged 6+, who is looking to have fun one evening a week, please come along on the 15th and talk to one of the leaders. Furniture Project is practically opposite us - at the River Crane/ borough boundary end of Northcote Avenue, not sure about electrical goods though.

Furniture Project based in Isleworth. Collection can be arranged, Monday-Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm. Contact 020 8744 0615.They telephoned to check we were ready and to say they were running early and would that be okay? Furniture collected 10 mins ago!  :-)

We have some furniture being picked up from our house, today by the Hounslow furniture project.  We used to have it collected by the PDSA in Ealing, who did a roaring trade with the bedsits in West Ealing, but they have been told by their head office not to take furniture any longer.  :-(Maybe Gecko is eligible to use the furniture project?

Hi,Another great site for 'freebies' is gumtree.com.  Go onto website, clink on the 'stuff for sale'then click on 'freebies'  You can get some great stuff on here.  You have to be quick and lucky and be able to collect fast. (They usually ask to people pick stuff up on the day they post the add.)Good Luck.Fran
