War Memorial gets Council Funding
Fantastic news - I have just heard that the Council have agreed to grant funding for the St Lawrence First World War Memorial to be restored and relocated to Brentford Library. Whilst local fund raising has been successful, thanks to Brentford's caring residents we still needed a substantial amount of money to be able to start the work. This funding has brought the project forward by at least a year which means the work should be completed in time for Remembrance Day 2009. Hopefully see you all at Brentford Library on Sunday from 10.30 for this year's Remembrance service.
