Traffic chaos - South Ealing and Boston Manor

It has just taken 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel on the 65 from South Ealing to Albany road.This is the second day on the trot that it has all been snarled up from Boston Manor to South Ealing headed for Brentford and it is little better in the other direction.The Popes lane traffic lights seem to be completely out of phase, as does the Ealing road/A4 jcn but what beggars belief is the total absence of simple common sense impositions that would vastly ease matters.No restriction cones at any of the junctions. Idiots are still parking within the studs and never get ticketed!Permission for residents to kerb park on the wide East side of Sth. Ealing road to allow vehicles to safely pass.Divert all through HGVs via Boston Manor Road or the NCR.Temporary adjustment to the traffic lights.Thames Water have a huge job on their hands but the hopeless arrangements for traffic are yet again costing us dear in lost business and time.

That's excellent Chris, Well done for moving so quickly on this. I'm sure the local residents there will be happy that their cars may not get clipped so often.

Apparently there was a signal fault at the Ealing Rd / A4 junction on Wednesday.Meanwhile we have marked out part-footway parking on the east side of Ealing Road between Chestnut Ave and Whitestile Rd where the footway is wide enough to accommodate this.

Have to say that it was totally different to last night.Have cycled it today twice and it is far better although it was slow this morning

Traffic was flowing well on the LB Hounslow sections of Windmill Rd (northbound) and Ealing Road and the A4 eastbound this afternoon c 5pm.  Can’t say how things were further north.  Westbound A4 traffic was delayed by congestion or an incident on the M4 somewhere west of junction 2.  Queues back to Chiswick roundabout, but this is not unusual.

That's good to hear and likewise it's smack on the boundaries of Ealing and Hounslow but I'm sure that a few temporary arrangements for residents parking and pinch points will make a big difference.It took 40 mins to get to South Ealing Stn again this morning usually (10 mins)Maybe the E2 should terminate at Northfields  and a 65 Shuttle run between South Ealing and Brentford CC as they have done in the past to keep the service regular.
