lucozade clock

please tell me what has happened to this , i was born in queen charlottes hospital in hammersmith 42yrs ago, and moved away when i was 3 , but came to london every few weeks to see my grand-parents who live on green dragon lane, and in time have brought my son to see his great-grandparents and the clock was always the sign that made us all know we were near them, this has alwasy been a very important thing to our family generations, but it has diserpeared , along with my grandad who died this year at 96yrs old who was a permant fixture at brentford football ground for as long as i could remmeber, please someone tell me where this clock is now

Sadly since it was taken down in 2004 it's been in the Gunnersbury Park Museum, that's the short answer.

Yes, apparently after all the years it stood in its place it became a danger to drivers - total tosh of course, just looking for any excuse to get rid of it.

That was a fizzilly good posting Hugh.. especially for the middle of the night!As you say memories..are made of this!Neil. As you say Gunnersbury Park Musum are looking after the CLOCK.. Wasn't the mechanism and electrics considered to dodgy to repair? Was there a benefactor wanting to provide the repair funds?

Somebody probably complained to trading standards that Lucozade couldn't substantiate their claim, like when they tried to stop Mars using the 'helps you work, rest and play, slogan.
