FOI request 8 March

Could someone advise what I need to do about a Freedom of Information request dated 8 March that has not been answered to yet?It's not clear from the council website what I should do. Presumably because the Council are bound to respond.

A letter to the Chief Executive for his/her personal attention attaching all copies of previous correspondence may work, quite apart from the legal remedies

Thanks TimI nudged them on 20 April, both acknowledge by a do-not-reply email. Will see what the beginning of next week brings.

When and how to complain to the ICO is covered in their document at http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/library/freedom_of_information/practical_application/ico_foi_eir_how_to_comp_final.pdfI think you are supposed to give the Council a first complaint and chance to respond before raising the issue with ICO.

I'd be tempted to give them another nudge - it is after the 20 working days isn't it ? (Are you sure they received it ? Did they acknowledge receipt of the request ?)I think you can then shop them to the office of the Information Commissioner who gets increasingly stroppy with them  if they don't respond and can, I believe, impose penalties......
