Tube strike ends 7pm this evening...
Please be aware that the tube service won’t instantly return to full strength at 7pm as the rolling stock will need to come from the various depots. Some commuters who walked or used buses to work this morning may be expecting to board a tube train immediately at 7pm to travel home, so there may be some overcrowding at that time.On the other hand some tube services are currently running and some people may have decided to take the day off, so it may not be an issue.According to TfL:“Services are running on nearly all London Underground lines this lunchtime, including a full service on the Northern and Jubilee lines. • Northern line - full service • Jubilee line - full service • Victoria line - shuttle service between Victoria and Seven Sisters • District line - shuttle service between Wimbledon and Tower Hill and between Ealing and High Street Kensington • Metropolitan line - services between Baker Street and Amersham • Piccadilly line - shuttle service between Arnos Grove and Cockfosters; shuttle service between Hounslow Central and Hammersmith • Central line - shuttle services between Liverpool Street and Epping and between Liverpool Street and Hainault as well as White City to Ealing and West Ruislip • Bakerloo line - shuttle service between Elephant & Castle and Queen's Park • Hammersmith & City line - shuttle service between Baker Street and Hammersmith Service levels are better than those achieved on Wednesday morning, with more than 160 trains running across the network. London Underground aims to build on these services as the day progresses.”
