Traffic Lights at Bush Corner

Can someone explain what happened to the Traffic Lights at Bush Corner, there is a Pedestrian crossing in every direction with a Button to Press to show a Green Man apart from the Section from Bush Corner to London rd and Jcn at End of Twickenham Rd.Did the council run out of Cash to put Button here?Its very Dangerous also.

At least that's cleared up then, and there was me wondering who'd dug the hole on Twickenham Road at the traffic lights and left it with no sign of activity every morning when I crawl past ;-)

Ah, I knew Clo's comment was directed at Simon, that much was obvious to me ;-)As for the roadworks, I genuinely have never found anywhere where so many roadworks are continually taking place as in the Brentford/Isleworth area.  Why I've no idea, traffic volumes aren't higher than elsewhere in London, maybe the infrastructure had been left to go to pot until recent times !.Maybe I should have popped along to the Chiswick forum drinks after all !.

OK wise guy, Chris.  It is sometimes difficult to follow through the conversation ...  :-)Adam, we are suggesting you find a patch of sunlight to sit in - and place a knotted handkerchief over your head.  A cold beer might be good too, but you have still got to negotiate those dammed roadworks when you wake up.  :-(

I though Clo was having a go at poor Adam and his journey home at night.  Would you be better off finding a cool shady spot and having a kip until the rush hour is over, Adam?  Down by Richmond weir bridge is very nice if you can avoid the high tides!  :-)

Christhank you for Explaning this to me, i hope that there will be a Controlled Crossing there as its can be Hectic there.Clo i am Moaning 4 right reasons how would you feel if someone you knew crossed on this section and Got Run Down u would be Moaning then wouldnt you? I have Children who cross there EVERY day so i aint Moaning i am asking a Question Get a Life

Chris,Do you know my journey to work or what ?! - it seems I can't escape more than afew weeks without LBH deciding to reconfigure one of the junctions I have to pass through :(I already have Ealing Road/Brentford High Street to 'look forward' to, now Busch Corner too :(Adam

CloI think Simon's request was perfectly reasonable.  If it was easy to put a controlled crossing across that arm we would have done it years ago.  It’s not easy but it can probably be achieved, but as noted above it will require reconfiguration of the junction.As it stands, it’s very difficult for pedestrians to get across this arm of the junction.

SimonNo, it’s not a matter of having run out of cash to put a button here.  The way the junction currently operates means there is no opportunity to put a signal controlled crossing across this arm.However, we are developing plans to reconfigure and improve this junction and hope to implement them next financial year.Chris Calvi-FreemanHead of TransportLondon Borough of Hounslow
