"free-loading squatters who have helped themselves to the Keens' hard-earned property."Are you aware of what the word irony means? Hard-earned?Are you really expecting anyone to believe that? I pay my mortgage (just about) every month. What I do not do is charge the taxpayers of this country for me to buy a 2nd property - when I don't live in the 1st - only 9 miles away because I'm too lazy to get on a train. I also do not charge the taxpayers for council tax that I myself have forced onto those taxpayers. What I do do, is getting planning permission for the loft so that I do not have an argument with the builders and then blame them for not finishing the work they should never have started in the first place and then use that as an additional excuse as to why I need to live in the 2nd home luxury rather than live with the people I represent. As for your character assassinations - everyone is entitled to an opinion and frankly, what you posted as direct from Jim did not strike me as particularly rascist but rather an observation of the local area as he sees it. Something he is, in a democracy, entitled to do.Rascist and rascism are accusations thrown at people too readily these days to dismiss people's opinions when that person is too idle or ignorant to come back with a valid argument and you my friend, are a prime example of this behaviour. As I said previously (and you have conveniently chosen to ignore) once you engage in a serious debate rather than spending hours finding something you think you can attack someone's character with, you may get a little more support and credibility from people on this forum. However, this appears to be a concept that you are either unwilling or (probably more likely) unable to grasp so I will not be holding my breath.

"'and just wonder how he became involved with this present mob'"."""Could say the same about you."""ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooVanessa,Well the answer is simple. On my semi-retirement 5 years ago..and having been gifted my 1st Computer with Internet etc..I had his great urge to find out was was going on in local politics..in Chiswick Brentford and Isleworth..who was on the Council..indeed who are Councillors and what are they up to..and to learn what was going on.  Many older people do that.It seemed incredible that the Civic Centre was responsible for spending over £600,000,000 every year...that's 3 billion pounds every 5 years...and that the Labour Party running the place seemed to be suspect.I hated having to do £10,000 of business to earn say £3000 profit..then pay £1200 tax to finish up with £1800 which was the same as my Council Tax!!  Under Labour I'd have to do more business and work harder as the tax went up!  I didn't mind that really ..but it was the underlying waste of pubic money being allowed by those involved...the Labour Party and the Unions I suspected. I calculated some time back that THREE BILLION POUNDS..equals £50 notes piled flat 29,000 feet high... equivalent to the top of Mount Everest!!! spent by the Council every 5 years!!!!Then I stumbled across this Forum! and the Chiswick one....attended a few  Council meetings..a couple of Area meetings, observing and listening to the individuals involved, and their scribblings on these Forums and then I started to form judgements.Labour Party literature failed to win me over...some of it was terrible...written clumsily by Mr Sherrins? Then I looked at the state of the Labour Party HQ in Chiswick..the building and the unkempt garden and hedgrows. Total shambles. In contrast, I was most impressed with Phil Andrews informative postings and his anwering to my questions. He was most well informed and helpful...and I admired his pluck in keeping the Labour Party activists at bay.  His own challenges with yourself Vanessa...publishing or distributing dodgy documents? ..suggested to me that the Local Labour Party was iffy..and more study was necessary. I raised my eyebrows at what I was reading in the Local Press about some of those Councillors in Hounslow Central, Hounslow Central and Heston..areas I know well.  Mr Alan Sherrins poor arithmetic on the "Hounslow Matters" was the last straw, it proved that he was dishonest.I certainly made a donation to Phil Andrew's Community Group some years back (don't know how Taylor found out) and in my view it was money very well spent.  Indeed didn't the ICG soon win THREE more seats from the Labour Party in Syon Ward.Whilst admiring from a distance the busy work schedule of Andrew Dakers, Ruth Cadbury and Matt Hamer in Brentford ..I am not experienced or knowledgable enough  to judge how well they actual perform in the Council Chamber or on the different Committees...I would have to work with them to find out.  I do however have a distrust of Mrs Keen and some of her male escorts. Her relationship with many many members of the Community and the Council seems to be appalling.  her Heathrow stance is grim, her bloodhounds like Taylor from Southall are dodgy, for that very good reason I wish to see her removed as our MP.Local are just not happy. So, I'm a local Conservative..knowing that such membership is best for me and others the Borough who want to see the back of Mrs Keen. We deserve better.  Many so called "current Labour supporters" have told me that they won't be voting for Mrs keen at the next election..and that's really cheering.I observe Conservative Councillors and supporters at work..and they are a great bunch and I enjoy working with them. Join us.  Help is welcome.  Hope we win!    So that's "how I came to be involved with his present mob"  Simple!

RobinI have noticed that you almost never answer anyone's questions. You seem to just jump straight to trying to dig up dirt on whoever disagrees with you and try to dismiss any opinion other than yours as the rantings of some rascist or conspiracy theory.I would like to introduce you to the word, democracy. People are entitled to their opinions and unfortunately for you, the Labour party and what clearly appears to be the object of some serious lust for you, Ms Keen, those people will express their opinion in the next election by voting for another party.I personally, would recommend that you engage in the debate by answering the questions put to you if you want any real credibility rather than just going straight to the lowest, character destroying (attempted anyway) level. You instantly dismissed my opinion because you perceived me to be middle class.Even if I were, which I am not, does that invalidate my opinion in any way? Does that make me less entitled to have an opinion? Why as a Labour supporter - a party that has for decades attempted to turn the UK into a classless society - do you jump straight to class as a way to dismiss resistence to your opinions? As for Ann Keen remembering her roots - I don't think so. Her and her sister are both politicians. Her sister has also been mentioned in the expenses scandal and 20 years ago was living in a seriously large, expensive (but lovely) house in Egham. So Ann, her sister and her husband are all at it and have been for many years. Whatever their background was is long forgotton I'm afraid - as you will be when she's ousted.Oh and as for me being 'lucky' to have a house. There's no luck involved in it. It's called working hard.

Oh, hello Jim! I've just been researching some of your unpleasant rantings against the Asian community.Let me give readers of this forum a taster:"... the prevalence of Asian business practices came in for some alarming obervations. We've all heard about election postal voting frauds, dodgy dealings in the Housing benefits department and other matters.""Many Asian families buy extra houses, allow relations to live in them, they claim benefit, possibly inflated, nice little earner ... and the lolly stays in the family. The English garden ... front and back ... is a thing of the past!""Following last year's term of office of the non-smiling Punjabi Mayor who was really quite an awful chairman we now have another Asian gentleman who apparently also performs poorly.""During the past five years or so the building in Thornbury Road has been occupied by some mysterious Islamic organisation ... with black clad women running around as though the area has been invaded by a swarm of black ants.""... 28.5% of the votes cast in our vast London Borough of Hounslow were via Royal Mail! That 14,469 figure is raising suspicious eyebrows in some quarters I can tell you ... it is not known to what extent family chieftains, cultural headmasters or religious ministers encourage postal voting and then DIRECT in bulk where the electorate under their umbrella should put their "X"."Literature about the new Lampton Conference Centre, ideal for big family weddings etc did not go unnoticed. It was carefully worded Labour bait to catch the "incomers" vote.""Heck we English are now a minority."You also made some particularly unpleasant remarks in which you attacked the Asian community for their alleged lack of participation in the campaign against Heathrow expansion (although your precise words are not to hand at the moment).Tell me something, Jim, are your views widely held within your beloved Conservative Party? And how does Mary Macleod feel about getting the active support of people like you?Come to that, what do the squatters (who you've been acting as photographer for) think of your repulsive views?Lastly, thanks once again for reminding me of why I'm such a strong supporter of Ann Keen. The fact she gets such active opposition from someone as objectionable as you is a commendation in itself.
