1) Well we all know who is to blame for this latest disgraceful episode don't we? (A) The Keens themselves of course. If they had pruned and weeded their overgrown front and back gardens ,they would have avoided creating a big eyesore of the corner of Lateward Road. The distressed state of the property wouldn’t have been so noticeable. In addition, I noticed neither of the Keen’s attended the Brentford Village Fayre just 100 metres away on the recreation ground and that raised a query too. I’m known for taking photographs in Brentford as you know and the state of Keen’s property presented me with another newsworthy opportunity.2) Who first started the fuss over the empty property …(A) Many locals would have noticed the abandonment of the house too…even last year. In early October 2008 I had noticed the filled skip in the roadway ..with floorboards and clutter on display..all in full view of the public as the skip wasn’t covered to protect passers by. Nor did the skip have an accompanying lamp on that dark corner. Was a licence issued?Thus I stood on my toes…. .outstretched my arms …and with the camera in hand.. took a photo over the fenced gate. My what a surprise. The pictures were posted on TW8 attracting much interest. I phoned a local newspaper too..who chose to delay publishing anything until they could get a response from Mr Keen ..which they did.3)…and was eager to take the credit? (A) Once the local Press started to publicise the story they and some Forum posters tended to repeat the claim that theythe Press had initiated story of the pictures of the back garden etc. . We know that they and others watch the TW8 website. I reminded TW8 readers that it was US (TW8 and I) that had scooped the newsworthy story. Some of my pictures are appearing on other websites too.4) Why none other than your “own Mr. Jim Lawes”, (A) I’m certainly friendly with Phil Andrews and a few of his colleagues in the ICG..not that I see them often these days. In fact I belong to the local Conservative Party..particularly in their endeavour to remove Mrs Keen at the next Election. I enjoy handing out Conservative leaflets in the Brentford area..even in brook Road South . So Vanessa I don’t belong to Phil at all. 5)and this is the result, anything like this is bound to attract trouble, (A) As I said..they’ve probably brought it on themselves. Questions have been asked on the Forum for over 5 years…but the Keens and their supporters have been less than transparent.and informative. This is the result? National press coverage. Attracting trouble? Pity to hear about the thugs5)I hope that everyone involved in whatever way is very proud of themselves. What a bloody mess.(A)The result for many observers is the number of locals who have been willing to help the squatters or give them the thumbs up. That’s most revealing of locals near Brook Road South. Hope there won’t be recriminations…now that the big bearis about to return.. So Vanessa, your posting was full of wild assumptions.. but agreed, on this occasion, without skatty language.
