One of Hounslows brilliant services.One of my neighbours was locked in a room (the door lock jammed) and was able to call for help by pressing the small alarm she wears on her neck.  They must have acquired many stories of how they have assisted their users - might make a good news story? I am fed up with bad news and the word expenses - the expense used on linkline is delivering a wonderful service.

Hi Jim - PC is still dead - not sure what we will do next.  This is Alex's PC but the keyboard is a gaming one and I have written several times only to press a line of keys beside the end of the QWERTY key board and have everything disappear into cyberspace (to pinch your phrase).The latest machine is really quite small and the button alarn for the neck is dinky.  I think it can be worn on the wrist too.

Glad your computer is up and running again Sarah. You must had been itching to get back into cyberspace!Yes that Link-line apparatus looks ideal..and seems a bit more up to date compared to the older system of pulling on a cord above one's bed and so on.I might be needing the system one day..and I'm sure before you!!

I was called out by link line after a neighbour had pressed the button on his alarm necklace.When we got into the house he was sitting on the ground in the back garden having fallen over around a hour before he pressed the button (he spent that time trying to get up so he didn't bother anyone).Link line people then called an ambulance - you speak to the operater at link line through the machine to let them know what has happened.  The ambulance was there very quickly and he was given a thorough check over.Such a good idea!

The alarm is 2 inches long (right hand side at the bottom of the ruler) and the alarm can be placed on a wrist band or on a cord around the neck.  I understand that the linkline machine plugs into the main phone socket and the house phone plugs into the linkline machine.
